V Thulasidas, the managing director of Kannur International Airport Limited (KIAL) has resigned from the post. He handed over the resignation to Minister K Babu, in charge of the airport.
The government had the other day cancelled the consultancy deal of the company. The controversies which broke out following the cancellation of the consultancy is the reason cited for the resignation.

. It is stated that he submitted the resignation owing to the news report related to the cancellation of consultancy contract of Kannur aiport. The government had the other day cancelled the consultancy deal of the company which was signed with Mumbai based Stup consultancy private limited when it was found that they have not fulfilled the contract conditions. Stup is a company which was included in the black list in Gujrath. But Stup hid this fact when they applied for tender. Later the truth was revealed so the pact was cancelled. The case related to the same is under the consideration of HC. The controversies which broke out following the cancellation of the consultancy is the reason cited for the resignation
